  3. Nice to have you posting again! Thanks for sharing these lovely Lieder... I'd love to hear Keenlyside in recital myself. If I may ask, are you planning on writing up the Macbeth? I'd be interested to read your take on it.

  4. I join Lucy. Lots more H postings, please.

    On some tangentially related topics:
-first saw SK as Figaro count in Munich w/amazing Countess who is now one of 2 greatest Marschallins.
-that same Countess also sang role beautifully at the Met
-SK also singing Count in Munich next season - it been like 25 years for him with the role
-his last Count I saw was at Met with AH as Countess
-just saw AH as Marschallin in Munich - pure luxury!!

See how it all fits together?

  5. Thanks for the videos. He is wonderful.
Too bad he had to cancel his latest recitals at Wigmore Hall and at the Schubertiade in Austria but his father, Raymond Keenlyside, passed away recently.
Did you know that his father was a prominent figure in classical music too? Raymond Keenlyside was long a member of the famous Aeolian String Quartet and played the Violin.

Back to Simon: Did you see him in the ROH Macbeth? No report this time?
